Beaute Inegalee

Yesterday was a fun experience. I made my acting debut for a short film project called Beaute Inegalee. I have been helping mainly with crew for the past few shoot dates, however yesterday I played a minor role as a torture victim. The short film was written by Stephen Reynolds and is being produced by SSTV. The story of this film is incredible and i cannot wait to see it after post production. The film is about a young man who is Schizophrenic played by Jeremy Rotolo (who is doing an amazing job). In the boys past, he's cried wolf one to many times, that when he actually receives evidence on a tape of something real, no one believes him. The young man must prove a serial murderers existence who has taken an obsession with the young man before the serial murderer gets to him.
This production is very deep, and very dark and has been very fun to be a part of. Here are a few photos from yesterdays shoot. Sadly I do not have any of myself as a victim. I would also like to thank my fellow Kappa Sigma Brothers Lou, Mike, and Colby for allowing us to use the Crawlspace/Basement under their house.

Tech Blog 5

As the final Technology Blog for my class, i am going to talk about the computer I built for my media editing along with photos of the build.
All together the computer cost me around $1500 with all parts purchased at Microcenter.

For the tower case I got a Cool Master Mid tower case. The tower is powered by a 750 watt EVGA Supernova Bronze power supply. The motherboard I chose was an Asus 797-AR. This motherboard allows me to use an HDMI cable for my monitor to ensure HD quality. I use an Intel I7 4790K processor to allow for amazing video conversion time. For my solid state drive, I chose a Crucial MX100 with 256 GB capacity. This is a decent chunk of memory to start, but I added a 3 terabyte Seagate external Hard drive because i am going to be doing a lot of media and video editing. When it comes to editing, RAM memory is important. For this build I am using two 8gb Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR3 cards. Last but not least, I have a standard LG disk drive for CD's, DVD's, and games.

This build is absolutely amazing and I have already used it for video editing. As my editing software I purchased Cyberlink Power Director 13 Director Suite. This package came with Cyberlink Power Director 13 (64 bit) WaveEditor 2, Photodirector 6 (64 bit), Color Director 3 (64 bit), and Audio Director 5. All together the software was a little pricey, but was an investment well worth it. To test out my new PC I made an NHL highlight video. the video is 4 minutes long with quite a few video effects. In past computers/Macs a video like this took about 30 minutes to 4 hours to fully render. This build rendered the video in 6 minutes!!!
Here is a link to the video NHL Video

I am extremely happy with this build and I cannot wait to test its full potential.

The images below were photographed on my Nikon D5200.
